FELICIDADES !!!

This new model of
Whole-Person-Centered Wellness health care and better quality of life for elders, is a combination of better ways tested by ERT, Elder Recreation Therapy for elders and WEL, World Elder Land. This program can be implemented in community centers, institutional health care centers, hospitals, retirement centers or individually by journaling and using or creating their own "Journal For A Better Life" - "Diario Para Una Mejor Vida."

The Whole-Person-Centered Wellness Program focuses on all aspects of wellness: Body, Mind, Spirit, Social Integration, Vocation and Intellectual components of wholistic living for a better quality of life.

During the seminar we do not only teach and discuss each aspect of whole-person-wellness, but also LISTEN to each participant, their own views, experiences, suggestions, special circumstances, questions and better ways. ALL participants are LISTENED to and better ways are implemented, tested and evaluated utilizing the Journal For A Better Life.

Each elder find their own way to journal and to create their own "Diario Para Una Mejor Vida".

Here is a photo collage of the program

Time to say "hasta pronto"

After three months of sharing, testing and implementing better ways, individually or as a group, it is time to say good bye.

Our elders deserve quality time, meaningful programs, better opportunities to contribute and get involved in our community development plans and programs. I am so grateful for the love, simple ways and kindness of our elders and staff members at
Long Branch Community Center in Silver Spring, MD.
