[KJW #039] The Journal For A Better Life and The Whole-Person-Centered Wellness Program for Elders and Caregivers presented by WEL, World Elder Land
The National Hispanic Medical Association 10th Annual Conference in Washington D. C. - March 2006
Because HEALING and WHOLE PERSON WELLNESS requires of us some inward change for the better. The Journal For A Better Life, available in English and Spanish, can be implemented by everyone; elders and caregivers. The Journal For A Better Life Workbook centered on the integration, balance and harmony of the mind, body and spirit. It also promotes creative expression, direct participation in the plan of care and betterment of the individual: Whole-Person-Healing.
Because the SPIRIT expresses itself through the physical body. And the mind-body and spirit always 'travel together'. Whole person health and well-being takes attention, dedication and self-nurturing.
Because it is important to facilitate and nurture patient-practitioner common vision and plan of care to effectively better the quality of life of both.
Norman Cousins says "The health care practicioner has a role beyond the perscription pad to invoke the patinet's own bodily resources for healing."
