Dear Harold, John and the global family of The Love Foundation:

I am truly honor with the nomination of Love Ambassador. I am also fascinated by your initiative, inclusive and meaningful programs taking place and spreading LOVE in our dear home, The Earth.

Your recognition is a motivation to continue spreading the vision and mission of WEL, World Elder Land, a better quality of life for our elders and the communities where elders live. WEL is an intergenerational universal effort for a better world for our elders, everyone is invited to participate in this dream work and day-by-day more communities everywhere in the world join our vision and work.

I believe in the beauty of our human family, I believe in a better world today... and I am not the only one.

I also congratulate all members of the Love Ambassador family and everyone that is not on the list but continue working on their 'love secrets' co-creating together a promissory future for everyone.

Your love letter and this beautiful news comes to me a couple of days after I wrote this article for www.goodmorningworld.org/blog titled: "How LOVE and HAPPINESS Influences Our Health". Here are a few paragraphs of this article...

"...I love thinking about ways I can help brighten at least one person's day, everyday. Small but meaningful details help remind people that love exits and that they are too loved by others. We humans, animals and all living things were crafted by love, and one of the most beautiful essences of the human being is our capacity to love. By loving we help nurture and multiply good healing energy. Multiple seeds of unconditional happiness and joy that remind us of the "real force-the practice of love" that unite us and sustain us. Love is not only in our vision of God, but it is palpitating in each one of us. There is nothing like experiencing an act of kindness from a stranger. It is like being visited by a massager of love... "because I do matter" and because we have never been left alone and because love is everywhere.

Acts of kindness and love, these types of selfless caring, are what help us keep our faith in humanity and in a better world. Because when we believe in people, it makes them stronger. So, let's "be the change we want to see in the world", let's continue finding ways to help brighten the day of someone, every day.

Happiness is something we nurture within ourselves too. In a lengthy study, the National Institute on Aging found that feelings of health and wellness were closely tied to personality characteristics of individuals, which included a joyful approach to life. Those people who choose to find joy in life were not dragged down by what life had thrown them, rather they maintained their optimistic attitude throughout the 10-year study and were healthier than a group of subjects who took a more negative view of their world... The language of love is within us way before we learn our mother tongue, so LOVE and HAPPINESS are simple and effective ways to communicate with everyone... More

Please continue with your mission and vision spreading LOVE in the world and motivating others to do so. Blessings!

PEACE be with you always!

[KJW #054] "Listening Beyond Cultures To Better Provide Health Care Services" - Workshops at Kensington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kensington, Maryland.

WHAT IN MY COMMUNITY IS BETTER BECAUSE OF ME?

Objectives:
Process Improvement: Learn how to develop and nurture a culture of process improvement for the betterment of health/wellness promotion, patient satisfaction, happier community development, customer service and quality improvement.

Learn how to reduce and better manage compassion fatigue, when delivering health care services to patients with challenging behaviors in clinical institutional settings.

Learn how to facilitate and promote nurturing environmental factors that enhance a culture of "self-care", wellness, inclusion, cooperation, initiative and fairness to better the quality of life of all community members.

Learn how to identify resources to nurture and celebrate global diversity in our health care community for a better quality of life for everyone.

3 workshops and more than 65 interdisciplinary staff members attended these interactive and meaningful in services. Participants shared and exchanged their views about the important components of the health care services that they provide. Questions like; how would you describe "the best human being", and how many of the characteristics of that "best human being model" do you practice with yourself and with others?
Program Overview:

The visible and invisible environment as my extended body; trust, respect, body language, kindness and other important elements that affect our quality of life.

What is culture? Cultural Competence? Cultural Knowledge?

The value of an Inclusive Global Cultural Community Assessment. How to develop strategies to strengthen the resources of our community?

Dynamic discussion about wellness and whole-person living?

Compassion Fatigue: The stress of caring too much that can be thought of as a secondary post-traumatic stress.

Participants exchanged ideas and their comments during the
self-test about "compassion fatigue". But most importantly,
we all learned better ways to recover from a burned out
or dealing with a sense of failure.

Process-Mapping Customer Service Satisfaction: 10 better ways to deal with patient/caregiver expectations and complaints.

Designing INCLUSIVE community improvement projects that focus on and celebrate better practices rather than focusing on areas of weakness.

The successful management of a challenging situation can lead to a better understanding of ourselves as "wellness" providers.

How to better manage challenging behaviors in health care.

How to turn a conflict into a positive nurturing situation?

Identifiable resources in our own community to celebrate and nurture global diversity.

Quality indicators - evaluating our services.

Are we making a difference for the better in the lives of our community members?

Are we having FUN doing our jobs? How are we nurturing our happiness and the happiness of others?

Are we listening to our colleagues, caregivers and the persons that we are providing wellness and health care services for?

What's our focus? Are we nurturing our lives with good books, good nutrition, meaningful social relations, not hurting or harming anyone, but rather...

Are we co-creating a better world for ourselves and for others?

The Starfish Man

One morning at dawn, a young boy went for a walk on the beach. Up ahead, he noticed an old man stooping down to pick up starfish and fling them into the sea. Finally, catching up with the old man, the boy asked him what he was doing. The old man answered that the stranded starfish would die unless they were returned to the water. "But the beach goes on for miles, and there are millions of starfish," protested the boy. "How can what you're doing make a difference?" The old man looked at the starfish in his hand and threw it to safety in the waves and said to the boy...

"It makes a difference to this one."
