Dear Kathy: I appreciate your sending this to me very, very much. Thank you. I wish I could be there.
May your work reach many people throughout the world. All the very best, Sarah

Dear Kathy:
Thank you so much for your meaningful work. I just want to add that the real full-time nurse that helped my father was my mother, Eleanor Cousins. It was she who was his partner in belief. (Actually, she believed he would live forever.) She was also the one who first taught my father about vitamin C and better nutrition.
With appreciation for your wise words, your passion for a better life for the elderly, who know whereof they speak.
Sarah Shapiro Jerusalem

The first part of the program will be the showing of "Anatomy of An Illness." This movie is based on the book written by Norman Cousins (editor of Saturday Review), that recounts his personal experience of working in close collaboration with his doctor to overcome a supposedly irreversible disease of a potentially fatal illness by laughter. He found that one 10-minute session of laughter could give him up to 2 hours of pain-free sleep. Norman Cousins was made the first non-medical honorary president of the American Medical Association. He holds the only honorary medical degree awarded at Yale University School of Medicine. During the second part of this program, Kathy Ward will explore the relationship between emotions, thoughts, lifestyles (psycho-neuro-immunology), and how the human mind and brain are capable of promoting the body's natural ability of self-repair and healing... with our total collaboration.
