| "Universal Declaration of Elder Rights." PREAMBLE There is no specific international or universal covenant which promulgates the rights of older persons. However, the universe is engaged in one gigantic effort to find its fulfillment. We must each contribute by facilitating and fostering this for every elder of our human family, so they can enjoy the right to liberty, happiness, and a better quality of life. Our human family needs a bloodstream, a brain, a heart and a soul. It developed our elders for that purpose. Our elders, our real treasures, are the pillars of our communities and families. WEL, World Elder Land is committed to continue promoting, designing, implementing and co-creating meaningful partnerships for a culture of process-improvement and happiness with the full participation of our elders, and for the betterment of the quality of life of our dear elders and their care-givers all over the world.
